CADENCIA CHAIR

Can objects feel? Cadencia is a unique chair. It has feelings. When you sit down, it feels you. The first piece of furniture from Laboratorio 001 stems from a reflection on how we interact with the objects around us.

Inspired by iron wrought chairs from the seventies, it's made with a single gesture in just two pieces, without any embellishments, to retain only the necessary minimum elements. This decorative and material minimalism causes a smooth and hypnotic movement when you stand up, like a dialogue between the object and the person, a cadence.

Cadencia is produced in limited series of 10 units, with each one experimenting with a different finish. Made from solid 10mm steel rod in two sections, the first series has been hand-polished and treated with clear gloss varnish, achieving a satin finish that is unique in each piece.
